Happy Bookish Holidays!
I hope you are having a great holiday season! This year I decided to attempt some decor and craft projects featuring books. I have a Pinterest Board that features some of my inspirations, and below you can see all my photos!
I made two different bookish ornaments:
This Book Page Ornament was an empty glass ball from the craft store that I filled with cut and curled pages torn from a book sampler and a little bit of glitter snow – so easy! Not sure who gets the credit for the original idea because I’ve seen this on a bunch of crafting blogs. But it’s so easy!
This Tiny Book Ornament took a bit more skill – but I did it! To try this one, just search “tiny book” on YouTube and find the tutorial that works best with your brain. I had to try a few and had a couple of books with pages that didn’t open, etc.
Maybe you are NOT into glue and glitter?
Then this Book Tree might be more your speed. I took a cake stand, gathered up some red and green books from my shelves, and added a few small holiday trinkets and some “snow.”
Then I was feeling like I could do anything, so I tried a….
Book Snowman! I had to find as many white books as I could and then stack them in a snowman shape. He’s cute, right?
Whatever you’re celebrating (or not) this month, I hope you have a happy end of 2017! Let me know in comments what you have been up to!
