Review of Act Your Age, Eve Brown

Eve is the baby of the Brown family and (not to be judgey as I am an oldest child which is probably why I’m judgey) everyone knows about those youngest kids. They are always so beloved and charming, but the rest of us sometimes forget to treat them like adults.

Finally, Eve’s parents have had enough of her job-hopping and tell her they’re cutting her off financially. She ends up at a charming B & B where she applies for a chef job and then accidentally hits the owner, breaking his arm.

Jacob is on the autism spectrum and struggles to find acceptance and connection with others. Eve’s laid back ways and stunning looks are a huge distraction to him. He struggles with his attraction and his doubts about whether he can trust her with his heart.

My favorite aspects of Talia Hibbert’s writing are 1) her ability to really get inside her characters and explore their hopes and dreams, their fears and insecurities and 2) her humor. Her books are both steamy and funny, which is a great combination.

Will You Like Act Your Age, Eve Brown?

If you love witty banter, Act Your Age, Eve Brown is the book for you. So much banter, both witty and also dirty talk.

The steam level in Act Your Age, Eve Brown is higher than in the other two books. From the outset, these characters have a strong sexual attraction that they are trying to deny.

While Take a Hint, Dani Brown will always be my favorite of the books (as I can’t resist the combination of a tough girl and a soft guy), I really enjoyed Act Your Age Eve Brown and recommend you get to know the Brown sisters ASAP!

What About the Rest of the Brown sisters?

Book one is Get a Life, Chloe Brown and features Chloe, a woman with a chronic illness and a bucket list and Red, a handyman by day and artist by night.

Book two is Take a Hint, Dani Brown, featuring Dani, an up-and-coming academic and Zafir, the building security guard, who agree to a fauxmance after a video of him rescuing her during an evacuation goes viral.
