Barnes and Noble’s Best Mysteries and Thrillers of 2024
As I said on my Master Post of Lists of Best Mysteries and Thrillers of 2024, Barnes and Noble has a very commercial list, stacked with fan favorite authors, but a few too many series books for my taste. I have read a great deal of these. Which have you read and which are your favorites?
All the Colors of the Dark by Chris Whitaker
- historical fiction about a series of disappearing girls in 1970s Missouri
The Blue Hour by Paula Hawkins
- a slow burn suspense story about an art expert tasked with helping settle the estate of a female artist … whose work was just discovered to contain a human bone. I lie this one and my review of The Blue Hour is here.
The Grey Wolf by Louise Penny
- number 19 of a highly rated police procedural series set in Québec
The Fury by Alex Michaelides
- a suspense story about a group of friends who travels to a private Greek island, where a real life tragedy unfolds. See my Review of The Fury with Spoilers
The Last One at the Wedding by Jason Rekulak
