Make Your Own Beauty Masks!

11.14.2019 by Jen Ryland // 3 Comments

Welcome to my stop on the Make Your Own Beauty Masks Blog Tour! Maybe you don’t remember my crazy Christmas bookish crafts from last year (don’t worry, you’ll be seeing it again), but I love DIY!

Synopsis from Goodreads: This book has simple and fun recipes that feature wholesome ingredients you can find in your fridge or pantry. Whether you are dry-skinned, oily, or just want refreshing “me-time,” find a recipe that best suits your needs. Mix the ingredients together in a blender or a bowl and apply the mask for ten to twenty minutes. You’ll finish with gorgeous, fresh skin!

I can’t resist beauty stuff and love new self-care ideas, so when Odd Dot (a division of Macmillan) offered me the chance to review a book on DIY beauty masks, I said yes, please!

What I loved about this book:

You can raid your fridge and cupboards find everything you need to whip up a mask – yogurt, honey, fruit and veggies, oatmeal.

The recipes were all natural – no weird mystery chemicals

I guess that means the recipes were … edible? (No, I did not eat them. But my dog was very interested. He loves all the ingredients I was using.)

Make Your Own Beauty Masks comes not only with recipes, but with ten (10!) sheet masks. So it makes a great gift!

That is interesting! I’ve never tried using food for masks — not even avocado or those cucumber things for your eyes. I’m always terrified I will break out.

I don’t have very sensitive skin, but still I understand your worries!

I was really curious about this one. I’ve just started using face masks and didn’t realize they sold sheet masks that you can add your own things to.
