I feel like December is always a relatively slow month for releases, and then the first week of January comes along and BAM there’s like 50 new releases lol I’ve read The Truth Beneath the Lies, and really enjoyed it. Amanda did such great job with the dual narrative – it was hard to connect the two POVs for most of the book.
I will check that book out. And yes — definitely true about the timing of new books in Dec/Jan. I’m sure early January will be crazy! I always think the book industry has it all backwards. I’d like more new releases in summer and around holidays when I have more time to read.
In January everyone always says they are cutting back on book buying!

December is such a quiet month for books, I didn’t even know there were a handful coming out this week (or next week)! I always wonder how publishers choose which books debut during what time of the year.
