My Readers Guide to With Friends Like These discusses this new book that’s kind of suspenseful women’s fiction. What did I think and do I recommend it? Let’s discuss!

Readers Guide to With Friends Like These
This post will have a main character list, plus my Quick Take and some spoilers!
Jen’s Quick Take on With Friends Like These

- With Friends Like These is short (only 240 pages) and to me, it felt a bit confused genre-wise
- The story was a lot about a group of Harvard friends who, around twenty years after graduation, are still playing a dangerous elimination game that killed one of their friends on campus
- The pace didn’t feel fast enough to be a thriller. The women were interesting but I found that fact that they played this crazy game at this age a little hard to believe.
- I did like the author’s writing style, so would try a future book. This was a bit of a miss for me.
- If you like book like this, try The It Girl by Ruth Ware or one of the books on my list of Friend Group Thrillers.
- Publication date: November 4, 2025 by Atria. Thanks to the publisher for the advance copy.
