What Am I Watching in November 2018? Read on and find out!

Riverdale! I have some thoughts about Riverdale (possibly enough thoughts to make a whole post) but here is my take so far:
- I’m loving the new 90s vibe of the show. The girls’ fashions have seemed to have shifted from 1950s inspired to 90s crop tops, stripes, overalls.
- I’m loving the flashback element and that the plot involves the characters’ parents. It’s fun and it’s a great way to keep all the characters relevant.
- I’m NOT loving the “G & G” plot. As I’ve said before on Twitter, it’s too similar to Stranger Things and not in a way that makes me happy.
- I’m NOT loving the whole prison / “fight club” thing. Bleh.
Dirty John! I listened to the podcast and I love Connie Britton and I’m so excited for this miniseries about a woman who falls in love with a guy her entire family is suspicious of..
I’m so used to binging shows these days that (so far) I’m DVRing it and planning to watch it back to back. But I’m flexible. Anyone else watching it? Is it good?
Princess Switch on Netflix
I’ve had mixed luck with Netflix original movies, but I am always up for an identity swap plot. Always!! While this movie stole the plot of Parent Trap in a rather shameless way (ordinary girl from Chicago swaps places with a girl about to marry a prince) it was much better than last year’s Christmas Prince which was 90% ridiculous. I thought Vanessa Hudgens was quite charming. The baking competition aspect was kind of an afterthought, but my thumbs are (mostly) up on this one.
And then, ahem, 90 Day Fiance which is just a bunch of disasters waiting to happen. Plus RHOD (if you have to ask, don’t. This season is kind of a snoozefest imo) and when I’m really hard up, I’m watching old episodes of Below Deck, which sounded like the most boring show ever but is actually … not terrible.
What have you been watching lately? If it’s anything good I NEED TO KNOW.

Kevin has been watching Christmas movies with me this year and it’s been so much fun lol He definitely lends a new perspective 🙂
We’ll have to try The Princess Switch this weekend. I don;t think he’s watched an identity swap romance yet!!

Hahhaha. Well, can’t wait to hear what he thinks!
I am such trash for 90 Day Fiance. Colt scares me.
I’m on episode two of the Dirty John podcast. I need to finish it. I did watch the first episode though.
The Princess Switch was super charming!! Watch the Holiday Calendar next.
Ooh, thanks for the tip.
All the couples seem more train-wrecky than ever to me.
I didn’t listen to the podcast but Iam excited for Dirty John. I have heard good things and Connie Britton is the best!
Don’t listen because you’ll be spoiled. I would have waited for the show if I knew it were coming!
Riverdale is on my To-Watch list but I haven’t started watching yet.
I haven’t watched Dirty John yet but I’m excited for it because I love Connie Britton. I’ve been pretty much glued to the Hallmark Channel watching Christmas movies ever since Black Friday. I don’t normally do that but I seem to be addicted to Hallmark this year for some reason.
I haven’t checked out the Hallmark movies yet this year and will have to do that!
I’ve had mixed luck with Netflix original movies too, especially the couple of Christmas ones I’ve watched so far this year. Which shouldn’t surprise me since I have the same mixed luck with Hallmark Christmas movies, but eh. I thought Princess Switch was fairly enjoyable, though highly ridiculous. 🙂 Didn’t love the magic calendar one, but I still have a few more on the watchlist to try. Better luck to us next time?
Haha I hope so. Glad to meet another Netflix/Hallmark holiday movie Scrooge. Agree Princess Switch was completely ridiculous but I also did enjoy it. (I’m the world’s biggest Parent Trap fan so that probably helped.)
