Affiliate Links on Jen Ryland Reviews: Your Questions Answered!
Impact-Site-Verification: -968340680.
As of August 2019, Jen Ryland Reviews contains a few affiliate links on selected posts. Maintaining a blog takes a lot of time and a fair amount of money. I am glad the book blogging community has slowly started to embrace the idea of site monetization as a way that bloggers can be paid for their hard work.
How Affiliate Links work:
if you click on a link on my site that leads to Amazon and then make a purchase, I’ll receive a very small percentage of that purchase. Amazon Affiliates receive a commission of around 4% for books, so about 40 cents on a $10 purchase. On Bookshop.org I receive 10% of your purchase.
WHY AMAZON?
I am a passionate supporter of independent bookstores and libraries! I have personally shifted my book spending toward small businesses and independent bookstores as much as possible.
But after trying various affiliate programs, I’ve found that Amazon is the only one that generates enough income to help defray blog expenses like annual hosting and domain fees. You can find my Amazon storefront here!
I am also proud to be a Bookshop Affiliate – you can find my storefront here.
And I support independent bookstores all the time, through giveaways like these!
