My friend Karen @FWIW Reviews had a great idea for a giveaway and I’m joining her! Enter my Save Our Small Businesses Giveaway for March 23!
Every week, I will draw a winner who can choose either a) a $25 gift card to the business of their choice or b) a $25 online donation in their name to the charity of their choice.
The only rule is that it has to be something I can order or donate to online and from the U.S. I’d love to support small businesses or local organizations, but if you live in a rural area or for any other reason prefer a gift card for a large retailer, that is perfectly fine.
a Rafflecopter giveawayIdeas for Charitable Donations:
World Central Kitchen – José Andrés and his team have showed up over and over to help feed the hungry and aid workers in communities reeling from natural disasters. WCK is currently helping local restaurants feed those most impacted by the COVID-19 lockdowns.
First Book is sending 7 million books to low income children whose schools have closed, so that they can continue learning.
Note: I have personally shifted as much of my shopping as possible to small businesses, local businesses, and businesses that are making a genuine effort to help others during this unprecedented time.
For now, I will continue to participate in the Amazon Affiliate program since my earnings help fund this giveaway. If you do use Amazon, feel free to use my links OR don’t forget to go to smile.amazon.com and designate a charity! Find out more about my links here.
Tell me about your favorite small businesses and inspiring charities in comments – it could give others a great idea for a donation!
I love this idea! There are so many small businesses suffering, this is lovely 🙂

It’s terrible and worries me!
What a great idea, Jen. It’s great to see so many businesses (both small and large) making efforts to help and give back.
It feels so daunting, but every little bit helps!
Love this idea!
This is so awesome you guys are doing this! I’m trying to support small businesses more too given everything that’s happening- it’s going to be so unbelievably hard for so many of them to stay in business with all this.
Stay safe!
So many people losing jobs or getting laid off. I’m really worried for everyone.
This is such an amazing gesture. I’ve been trying to buy from small businesses for a while, but really stepping it up the past few weeks. We have turned to a few local businesses for food and other items.
That is great that you have that option! Looking forward to hearing about people’s favorite businesses!
