Plot Summary for the Honeymoon Crashers
Ami is determined to break the Torres family wedding curse. Her own disaster of a reception ended with all the guests getting food poisoning, and she left her cheating husband soon after.
But even though she’s still processing her own divorce, Ami won’t let her twin sister Olive’s day be anything but perfect.
Olive may think she wants a private ceremony in Maui, where she and her fiancé Ethan first fell in love, but Ami knows better and secretly flies the whole Torres family out to surprise the couple. Now she and her meticulously organized binder have less than two weeks to get everything together for the big day, thousands of miles from home.

Audiobook Review of The Honeymoon Crashers
I listen to some audiobooks, but not a lot. I am a much faster reader than a listener and my listening comprehension isn’t the absolute best. But I’m always up for a well-done audiobook that is easy to follow and entertaining.
The Honeymoon Crashers is the perfect audiobook for those who love the format and those, like me, who aren’t diehard listeners.
With a manageable length (just under five hours), a classic romance plot, and a full cast with sound effects, The Honeymoon Crashers makes for fun summer entertainment for your workout, commute, or car trip.

All you need to know about The Unhoneymooners:
Ami and Olive are twins in a close-knit Mexican-American family. But the Torres family are also known to be cursed where weddings are concerned. When Ami, a tightly wound control freak, marries Dane, she thinks she can beat the curse. But the entire wedding party gets food poisoning, making Ami and Dane too sick to go on their honeymoon to Maui.
Ami’s twin Olive and Dane’s brother Ethan are the only non-sick ones, so they get convinced to go on the honeymoon. Except they can’t stand each other.
In the Honeymoon Crashers, Olive and Ethan are now engaged. To break the Torres wedding curse, they announce they are eloping to Maui. Ami is extremely upset and plans to sneak to Maui with her family and plan and attend the couple’s wedding. Olive and Ethan find out and aren’t upset, but ask Ami to involve Ethan’s friend Brody in the preparations.
Control freak Ami is NOT happy about working with slacker surf bro Brody, but slowly she accepts his help and (of course) the two start falling for each other.
If you are looking for low-conflict, low-drama, low-issue romance, this book is for you! Yes, of course there is more to Brody than meets the eye. And yes, of course Ami learns that she can’t control everything.
Because of its relatively short length, The Honeymoon Crashers is very dialogue-heavy, which actually makes for a great listening experience. Sometimes long stretches of exposition make my attention wander, and the fact that this was written to be performed made it very easy to follow.
