I recently read a new YA featuring an aspiring Nashville singer and decided to make a list of some YA Books About Country Music. Check it out, y’all.

YA Books About Country Music
Country music is a perfect partner for YA, since both are often filled with sorrow, angst, and heartbreak. Here are some YA books featuring country music that have come out since I started blogging. If you can think of more, tell me in comments! This post contains affiliate links.

Not Another Love Song by Olivia Wildenstein (2020) – a sweet story set in Nashville about balancing fame with family.
You’d Be Mine by Erin Hahn (2019) – two aspiring young country stars are paired together for a tour as the next Johnny and June.
Jesse’s Girl by Miranda Kennelly (2015) – an aspiring singer gets the chance to shadow a famous country singer.
Open Road Summer by Emery Lord (2014) – what if you were BFFs with the next Taylor Swift, got to go on tour with her, and fell for her touring partner?
Dirty Little Secret by Jennifer Echols (2014) – an aspiring singer struggles to succeed out of her more successful sibling’s shadow.
Wildflower series by Alecia Whitaker (2014) – a girl in a family band gets plucked out and made into a star.
Paradise by Jill Alexander (2011) – Paisley’s a drummer in a country rock band and in love with the band’s new lead singer.
Have you read any of these? Do you have other suggestions for my list?
I read four of these, but Dirty Little Secret looks interesting to me.
I think you’d really like it, Sam!
Great list. I love the sound of Open Road Summer!
