The good news: new 2021 books! The bad news: it looks like in early 2021, ever-changing release dates are still a thing. Here’s the latest information I could find on new releases for the week of January 5!

New YA Books Releasing January 5

The Life I’m In by Sharon G. Flake. The long-awaited companion book to The Skin I’m In, a book about a girl who is bullied for the color of her skin. This book is the next part of the story many readers have been waiting for!

Lore by Alexandra Bracken. Nine Greek gods are forced to walk the earth as mortals and be hunted by those who want divine immortality.

One of the Good Ones by Maika Moulite and Maritza Moulite. When a teen social activist is killed, her sisters head on a road trip to memorialize her.

Quantum Weirdness of the Almost Kiss Amy Noelle Parks. A math and physics loving girl battles her anxiety to enter a competition and find love.

When You Look Like Us by Pamela Harris. A boy searches for his missing sister.

I know – not as many as usual for January but still a great selection!

I didn’t know it was urban fantasy – I’ve skipped her past few books but since this is a standalone I think I’m going to try it! It sounds like Percy Jackson for older readers.
