Happy New Year! 2021 books are here! Check out my list of all the New YA Books Releasing January 5, 2021!

The good news: new 2021 books! The bad news: it looks like in early 2021, ever-changing release dates are still a thing. Here’s the latest information I could find on new releases for the week of January 5!

New YA Books Releasing January 5

Be Dazzled by Ryan La Sala. A teen with a talent for fashion design tries to make his mark at a cosplay competition.

Court of Swans by Melanie Dickerson. In 1300s England, a girl’s brothers are accused of treason and thrown in the Tower of London. She is their only hope of regaining their freedom.

Crown of Bones by A.K. Wilder. A fantasy featuring a lowly scribe who must save the world.

11 Paper Hearts by Kelsey Hartwell. While recovering from a terrible car accident, a teen starts receiving paper hearts from a secret admirer.

Glimpsed by G.F. Miller. Charity is a fairy godmother who fulfills the dreams of her fellow students.

Happily Ever Afters by Elise Bryant. The only place Tessa sees Black girls like her is in her own writing. But when she gets writer’s block, she decides to find inspiration in a real life romance of her own.

Influence by Sara Shepard. Teen influencers battle for supremacy in Los Angeles.

The Life I’m In by Sharon G. Flake. The long-awaited companion book to The Skin I’m In, a book about a girl who is bullied for the color of her skin. This book is the next part of the story many readers have been waiting for!

Lore by Alexandra Bracken. Nine Greek gods are forced to walk the earth as mortals and be hunted by those who want divine immortality.

One of the Good Ones by Maika Moulite and Maritza Moulite. When a teen social activist is killed, her sisters head on a road trip to memorialize her.

Roman and Jewel by Dana L. Davis. A Romeo and Juliet retelling on Broadway – check out my entire list of YA Romeo and Juliet retellings here.

Quantum Weirdness of the Almost Kiss Amy Noelle Parks. A math and physics loving girl battles her anxiety to enter a competition and find love.

Siege of Rage and Ruin (Wells of Sorcery #3) by Django Wexler. A crew of mage-bloods head on a deadly mission.

When You Look Like Us by Pamela Harris. A boy searches for his missing sister.

I didn’t know it was urban fantasy – I’ve skipped her past few books but since this is a standalone I think I’m going to try it! It sounds like Percy Jackson for older readers.
