  • I’m Not the Only Murderer in My Retirement Home by Fergus Craig is a comic mystery
  • It’s perfect for readers looking for books like The Thursday Murder Club or The Marlow Murder Club
  • With its gentle mocking of “murder club” books , its (sometimes off color) humor, and a solid mystery, this book is such a fun read!
  • Publication date: February 17 2025. Thanks to Berkley for the advance copy and for inviting me on the blog tour!

What’s the book about?

When Carol, a female serial killer, is paroled and moves into an upscale retirement home, her secret is out.

But when she’s blamed for a series of murders, and a group of residents forms an impromptu murder club to gather evidence against her, Carol has to start an investigation of her own.

After all, who is better to catch a serial killer than another serial killer?

My Thoughts About I’m Not the Only Murderer in My Retirement Home

I love a good murder club book and I’m a fan of British humor. Though the humor in this did get a little off-color at times (involving discussions of manscaping) I definitely laughed out loud as I was reading.

The mystery was solid, though Carol (and her crimes) remained a bit of an enigma. The ending was one I did NOT see coming!
