This YA fantasy is about a girl who goes to a nearby kingdom in her sister’s place, only to find that a prince desperately needs her help.
A Universe of Wishes: A We Need Diverse Books Anthology by Various Authors
This fantasy short story collection features pieces written by some of YA’s most beloved own voices authors: Samira Ahmed, Jenni Balch, Libba Bray, Dhonielle Clayton, Zoraida Córdova, Tessa Gratton, Kwame Mbalia, Anna-Marie McLemore, Tochi Onyebuchi, Mark Oshiro, Natalie C. Since this week is so small, did you miss the new books releasing last week?
I can’t wait to read Cousins (I’ve got the audio) and find A Universe of Wishes. That book needed more promo.
Yes, what is going on with the general lack of promo right now? Publicity budgets slashed? Bloggers getting burned out? Do publishers think everyone has pandemic/election fatigue? The two books I’ve been personally emailed about recently both ended up on the NYT bestseller list so it’s clear that publicity does help. But what about all the other books that get nothing?
I love the look of A Universe of Wishes.
