My Readers Guide for Keep This For Me discusses this new suspense story. It reminded me of some favorite authors so maybe you’d like to check it out!

Readers Guide for Keep This For Me
Like all books, Keep This For Me had aspects that some readers may love and other may not, so I’ll break it down in Jen’s Quick Take on Keep This For Me and then discuss some Keep This For Me spoilers!
Jen’s Quick Take on Keep This For Me

- Keep This For Me is a suspense story with multiple POVs and three different timelines (1993, 2003, and Now).
- It’s about a woman who learns that the serial killer who was thought to have killed her missing mother is dying. If she wants to get the truth about what happened, she needs to return to upstate New York and try to meet him.
- There’s a mother daughter theme that, in conjunction with the lake, reminded me a little of Daughter of Mine. If you liked that, you should try this. Also for fans of The Lake of Lost Girls (more lakes and serial killers.)
- Some readers loved the complex narrative structure, while others got frustrated. I got a little confused with all the timelines, but think I figured it all out. Maybe. Keep reading and see what you think!
- Publication date: October 7 2025 from Atria Books. Thanks to the publisher for the advance review copy!

What Happened to Ana?
She and Ben (Fiona’s father) were driving at night and took a detour. It sounded like their car hit something and they stopped.
A car came by and Ana waved it down. The guy inside the car offers to drive them to a pay phone. The car stops, Ben and the driver get out, and then the driver comes back and abducts Ana.
Eddie Ward, the man presumed responsible, insists that he didn’t kill Ana. (I guess he does admit to the abduction because he claims that Ana went in the water.)
