My friend Karen @FWIW Reviews had a great idea for a giveaway and I’m joining her! Enter the Save Our Small Businesses Giveaway for April 6!

Enter the Save Our Small Businesses Giveaway for April 6!
Every week, I will draw a winner who can choose either a) a $25 gift card to the business of their choice or b) a $25 online donation in their name to the charity of their choice.
The only rule is that it has to be something I can order or donate to online and from the U.S. I’d love to support small businesses or local organizations, but if you live in a rural area or for any other reason prefer a gift card for a large retailer, that is perfectly fine.
a Rafflecopter giveawayLast week’s winner was Danielle and she chose a Gift Card to Nicola’s Books – you can find more information on them here!
Here are two NYC organizations I am supporting:

The Animal Medical Center – this is the world’s largest non-profit animal hospital and it’s right here in NYC. It’s a teaching hospital that provides care to all types of animals. The provide free health care for guide dogs for the blind and also take care of the NYPD police dogs. They are amazing!
The Central Park Conservancy – during these times when New Yorkers are stuck inside for most of the day, the park offers a refuge and a respite. This non-profit, with the help of donations and volunteers, helps take care of this historic park and makes sure it stays beautiful for future generations!

Tell me where you are shopping these days! I’ve found a lot of great new small businesses to shop at!

The Animal Medical Center sounds like a wonderful organization. We need something like that where we live.
They are great – we are lucky to have them!
Small businesses are more important now than ever. I fear for how many will have to close their doors permanently by the time the crisis is over.
I’m worried. A lot of people are going to lose jobs, lose businesses, have pay cuts.
Small businesses are so important and most are closed in my area. I pray for us all!
Stay Safe!
You too! I’m worried about so many things. It’s going to take a while to get to our new normal. 🙁
