Jen’s Picks of New April 2026 Mysteries and Thrillers by Subgenre:
- Buzzy April Titles: The Ending Writes Itself, which is about six writers invited to a private island and asked to finish the book of an acclaimed mystery writer, now dead. Agatha Christie inspired and I’m reading it! Guilt by Keigo Higashino: long anticipated! Also Yesteryear, about a “tradwife” influencer who wakes up in the 1800s. It sounds odd, but I’m reading it now. It’s very voicey and I’m curious to see where it’s headed.
- April Suspense: Too Close to Home, Her First Lie
- Survival Thrillers: The Girls Trip, Blood Trail
- Family Drama: The Summer House Murder, A Killer in the Family
- Literary Mystery: Kill Dick and The Lost Book of Elizabeth Barton
