I’m excited about this one and will be reading it soon. A woman tracks her mother’s possible connection to a serial killer. Thinking maybe this will have A Flicker in the Dark vibes but I’ll let you know!

Well, well. Look at me reading Kay Scarpetta like it’s 1994 again. Curious to see how Scarpetta is faring in 2025. Will she have aged, like Michael Connelly has let Bosch age, or will she be forever 40???

I have been a little disappointed by McFadden’s books lately, but I am high on my library request list and am going to try this. If you’re reading it too, let me know!

Alchemy of Secrets by Stephanie Garber

This is the highly anticipated adult title by the author of two YA series: Caraval and Once Upon a Broken Heart.

Alchemy of Secrets seems to be a paranormal Dark Academia sort of story. I’m probably giving it a pass, but if you try it let me know what you think!

I have no idea why I requested this book! I hate scary books like this. Maybe summer me was thinking I’d enjoy this for Halloween? I’ll report back!

This mystery about a missing Native American girl seems to have a paranormal slant. It looks interesting!

A lot of people in my comments are not fans of some of Reese’s mystery and thriller picks (though she did pick The Guest List, Wrong Place Wrong Time, and The Last Mrs. Parrish.)
